This blog has been set up to log illegal activity that is a growing problem within Urban Exploration in the UK.

It is unfortunate that some members of our community have decided to go against the grain and push aside the motto ‘Take only photographs, leave only footprints’ and change it with ‘Take photographs, leave with everything worth money on eBay”.

It has come to such a problem that people are now forced to follow the Europe’s way of posting which is to give the location a code name and not tell of the where-a-bouts to anyone incase of it falling into the wrong hands and inevitably being ransacked and sold for a small profit, to the cost of the owners and anyone else who wants to experience the activity.

The argument that it could be anyone nicking from sites?

True, urbexers and thieves have always had a common ground in places they visited, however most common thieves will be after the scrap metal, copper, cabling etc. The items that are going missing are specific vintage collectables that have been rummaged with careful selection and the not as valuable left behind.
